The Frank Thornton Smith Music Scholarship

Susan Drake Interact Scholarship Award

The La Rue Vocational & Technical Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Stockton Rotary Endowment in 1993.  It is a permanent component of the Stockton Rotary Endowment (SRE). The earnings from this component are to be used as a scholarship award (or awards) to outstanding, graduating high school seniors from the Stockton area.  The recipients will be those who best exemplify the traits established by Rotary International.

The Frank Thornton Smith Music Scholarship is awarded each year to promising music students graduating from a Stockton high school who are planning to attend San Joaquin Delta College or a four-year college or university majoring in music. Delta College students transferring to a four-year accredited college or university are also eligible for the award.

This award was established by the Stockton Rotary Club in 2010.  It is named for Past District Governor and Past Club President Susan Drake in recognition of her outstanding work with and support of Interact on the club and the district level.  The recipients will be members from Interact Clubs sponsored by and supported by the Rotary Club of Stockton and will be those who best exemplify the traits established by Rotary International.

The Stockton Rotary Endowment (SRE) established the La Rue Vocational and Technical Scholarship in 2013.  The scholarship is awarded for one year, but successful applicants are encouraged to re-apply in future years.  The successful applicant will major in a specific area of career/technical education and enroll at San Joaquin Delta College or another not-for-profit college/university.
